外国议员眼中的中国式现代化 | 汤加议员：期待在体育和养老领域与中国开展合作

　　来自斐济、基里巴斯、密克罗尼西亚联邦、瑙鲁、纽埃、巴布亚新几内亚、所罗门群岛、汤加、瓦努阿图9个太平洋岛国的议员日前到访广东多地，考察广东在可持续发展、农业科技和循环经济方面的创新实践，以及中国全过程人民民主在广东的实践。

　　汤加塔布2号选区平民议员乌西拉莫埃朗基·法西表示，中国在体育领域的领先地位、对老年人和残障人士的关爱，都是值得汤加学习和借鉴的榜样，期望能在这些方面与中国开展合作。

　　Recently, parliamentarians from nine Pacific island nations—Fiji, Kiribati, the Federated States of Micronesia, Nauru, Niue, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Tonga, and Vanuatu—visited Guangdong, China to explore its innovations in sustainable development, agricultural technology, and circular economy practices, as well as the implementation of China's whole-process people's democracy.

　　Hon. Dr. 'Uhilamoelangi Fasi, Member of Parliament for Tongatapu 2, highlighted sports and elderly care as the areas that impressed him the most during the tour, noting that China's leadership in global sports and its commitment to supporting the elderly and disabled as models Tonga aspires to follow.
